Mister Trunk’s Inspection
Hi guys,
Right when the got there, Alex Periwinkle, the head builder, started talking.“Hello Mister Trunk I hope you enjoy the new park.
While Mr Periwinkle was explaining the ins and outs of the place, Hugo got kinda distracted. “Hey dad” said Ivy.” Look at this roly poly I found!”
“Look, Ivy,” Hugo said” I need to focus on my work, so could you just go do something else?” “Sure dad” she said. “See you later!” She skipped off.
A few minutes later, Hugo had some more trouble. “ Hey dad, is there a bathroom around here?” Ivan asked.
“Um...no I don’t think so” said Hugo pulling him aside. “Listen son,” he said “ I need you to go play with your sister because I have some work to do.” “Okay dad” said Ivan. And then he was off.
Hugo was talking with Mr. Periwinkle about the fountain in the park they heard a noise.
“BOOM!” It said.
Ivy and Ivan had blown up something! “I think it used to be a branch,” said one. “ No, I think it might have been a board,” said another.
Hugo pulled his children aside. “ What did you do?” He said in a loud whisper. “ We saw some diatomite and wanted to use it.” Said Ivy with a cheeky grin.
“WHAT!” Said Hugo. Just at that minute, Mr. Periwinkle came over.”That was awesome!” He said. His sister, Grayson, had a child of her own, Apple, so he was used to this kind of thing.
“Biggest BOOM I’ve seen in a while!” He said.” Maybe you could come inspecting with us!”
Of course they said yes, and so they got a sneak peak of the entire park!When it was done, they were really sad But they had such a fun time and they were super excited to tell all the children in their class. 
“Bye!” “Bye bye!” “ See you soon!”The whole ride home they talked about what to say to their mother..
“ Yeah and then we...” “It’s time for bed kids” said Abby.

This is Mister Hugo Trunk. He is the mayor of Littletown.
He has to inspect the new park today and he is taking his children, Ivy and Ivan, with him.
“Have fun sweeties!” Says their mother, Abby.
“We will!”shout Ivy and Ivan.
Ivy and Ivan are very curious.
“Look dad! A hill!” Says Ivy. Ivan, however is the quieter twin.
