The Splashy’s House
Hello! I hope you are having a great summer. I’ve had a mostly quiet one so far, but I have a theatre camp and trips coming up soon. So before that I’d like to post a story that I’ve been thinking about doing for while with a new family. But that might not happen for a while, so until then Im just going do to some house tours and stuff like that.

The Splashy Otters are such an adorable family im so lucky to have them, although I don’t think they’ve been introduced to you yet. I’ve named them Amanda and Glenn and the children Nate and Maren. I’ll put them on the “My Villagers” page soon.
Just another quick note, the quality in these photos isn’t the finest ever. I take most of my photos on my iPad not a real camera, so in the lighting of my basement (where all my Sylvanian Families is kept) isn’t really great. This is why I like to do most of my photos outside. But I’d like to start working making little diaromas for my Sylvianians. Anyways, on to the story!
*******************
This is the Spashys house. They wanted one near the river in Littletown, but this one is near all their friends and all they need to do is catch the tram to get to the river, which they do quite often.
Some summer days, they like to eat lunch at the patio table they have in their year, while Maren and Nate play in the sandpit.
(I made the sandpit with an altoids mint can, glue and some sand from my yard)
This is the full view of the Splashys house :)
They are lucky enough to have a telephone in their house, where Amanda likes to catch up with her friends. Right now she’s talking with Mamie Marshmallow mouse, they’re trying to schedule a play date with their children.
They also have a few fun board games to play when the children have gone to bed. I wonder what they’re playing right now.
I made these two pillows about the same time I created this blog. I was so proud of them, but looking back, staples aren’t really the best way to create a pillow 😂
I really like this cupboard and toaster oven. I wonder what Glenn is making using them…
They also store Nate and Marens high chairs here. I got them in the chocolate rabbit triplets set, which is an adorable set by the way.
Looks like corn on the cob is on the menu today!
I really like this blender that the splashys use to make smoothies. It came in the new breakfast set like came out last year I think.
I wonder what Glenn is folding.
I bought this little frog at my local miniature store. Isn’t it so cute and tiny, perfect for my Sylvianians.
The spashys really wanted a nice bathtub and even though their house is small, I think they accomplished this goal.
It’s bathtime!
“No not the toys! I just put them back!”
“Off to bed with you! It’s past your bedtime anyways!”
“Thanks for taking a tour of our house! See you soon!”
I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know who’s house you want to see next.
Isla :D
Hi Isla,
ReplyDeleteI have missed your posts so I am glad to see this one and I love that it's a long one. You have quite a nice collection.
How is your summer going? We just returned from Ireland and had a wonderful time. Dada is part Irish and part English, like me! As you probably remember, Dada is my brother. I have five brothers and sisters. Can you name them?
Ireland is absolutely beautiful. I hope you go some day. We took Max and Anna with us and your Aunt Susan also went. (Not Aunt Susu, but Susan, our daughter who is the mother of Max and Anna as well as Ben.
Aren't big families wonderful ~ especially ours? I love that we are not only related, but that we are all such good friends. Uncle Gary and I have nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews that number in the 70's!!! I'm counting the Baker's and the Kochenberger's.
I love you and your siblings very much. I wish we were closer so we could see one another more often, but we can email instead.
