The Magic Water

Hello! Today I have family that I don’t think I’ve done a post about, even though I’ve had them for years. In fact, I think this might be one of the first families I got. So here it is…

The Hopstoch Rabbit family is going on a hike to  Lilypad pond. 

“Did you know that the water in the pond is said to grant wishes!” Papa said

“Really?!” Said Hermione, the youngest. She loved magic and spells.

“Mama,” Hermione said once the got to the end of the walk, “ can I go and find the magic water?”

Ms. Hopscotch knew that Hermione really wanted to get the water, so she agreed, “yes you can, but you have to take Flynn and Athena with you.” 

“But mom!” Flynn said exasperatedly, “ I wanted to go find crawdads!”

“You can get them later.” Ms Hopscotch said in a tone that told Flynn that the subject was closed.

“Ok,” Flynn said, “ let’s go”

“Wait,” Athena said, speaking up for the first time, “ how do we get there?”

“Just follow the rocks down the hill.” Mr Hopscotch said

“I’m so excited to see the magic water!” Hermione said, “aren’t you Flynn?”

“Not really,” Flynn said shrugging, “I’m pretty sure the water doesn’t even grant wishes.”

“I think it does” Athena said, shooting Flynn a look.

As they went on the rocks loosed more and it was easier to fall, which Flynn did many times.

“That’s what you get.” Hermione muttered, while  Athena raised an eyebrow at her.

“Look at how pretty the water is!” Athena said

“The water is so clear!” Hermione said, “ do you think that this is the magic water?”

“ if this is we wouldn’t be able to get it,” Flynn said, “let’s wait until the end of the rocks to get it.”

“Are we there yet?”

“I already told you Hermione, we’re almost there.”

“Do you think this is it?” Hermione asked

“If it isn’t I’d be surprised.” Flynn replied

Before they got the water, they stopped to stand on the lily pads, because they looked stable enough.

After getting the water, the started the long trek back to they’re parents, making sure that they didn’t spill the magic water.

“Daddy look at the water!” Hermione said once they got back

“That’s great kids! Before we make the wishes do you want to catch crawdads? I saw a ton really close to here.”

“Do I ever!” Flynn said

After they got back, they realized that the magic water was gone.

“Maybe a bird drank it or something?” Flynn said

“Let’s ask mom, she was packing up while we were looking for crawdads.” Athena suggested

“Mom,” hermione said, “do you know where the magic water is.”

Ms hopscotch looked embarrassed.

“Mom…” Flynn asked, “what did you do with the magic water.”

“Well,” Ms hopscotch said carefully, “ I think I might have drunk it.”

Everyone stared in opened mouthed disbelief until Hermione said, “ so mom can grant wishes now?” And everyone laughed.
